Webquests

A webquest is an online inquiry based activity, usually done in a group in classroom settings, that encourages students to seek knowledge and learn about a given topic by locating, reading, analysing and synthesizing content, both online and offline.  Usually the resources are available on the Internet, and students are given starting points and encourage to seek out other information to learn more about the topic.

We are working on several webquests on topics being studied by the Advent of Complex Life team.  The first webquest is called "The First Animals?" and covers the topic of Ediacaran fossils and what they teach us about early complex life on Earth.

Are you a teacher who has used, or is using, our WebQuest in your class? If so, please contact E/PO Lead Phoebe Cohen - we want to hear from you!
