My research focuses on the disentangling of complex biogeochemical processes (primarily within the N cycle, but also C, H and S) over a range of scales and aquatic environments, in order to improve our predictive capabilities in the face of widespread global change. I am particularly interested in how biogeochemical processes are coupled in nature and how can we use stable isotopes and genomic, transcriptomic and proteomic information to unravel and quantify these relationships.
