Peter Mangiafico has an undergraduate degree in Physics, an MS Education and an ME Engineering Physics. He has worked for NASA as a data analyst, as a researcher on digital medical imaging, and in technology companies in every role from sales to marketing to technical project management, software development and as director of web application development. For the EOL, he has worked on the code for the www.eol.org website originally released at the TED 2008 conference. He is currently the technical lead, which involves working with the diverse group of software developers and biologists building the various components of EOL, as well as working with new technologies and investigating partnerships, creating prototypes and assisting in the integration of these technologies into the core EOL infrastructure.
