My research centers on the evolution of Earth surface environments and the role of microorganisms in that evolution. This work couples field work and sedimentological context with novel isotopic techniques and geochemical approaches. Areas of interest include ancient terrains (for instance, the Werneke Mtns., Canada) and terrestrial Mars analogue environments (such as Rio Tino, Spain: see photo)
